In celebration of Black History Month, the Office of Student Success will host a screening of the documentary film “The Loyola Project” at 7 p.m. today (Feb. 17) in the Mountainlair’s Gluck Theatre.
WVU is one of 63 universities selected to screen this film, which is presented by Northwestern Mutual and features the Loyola Ramblers of Chicago who broke racial barriers and changed college basketball forever.
Nearly 60 years later, this legendary team is reexamined by Loyola basketball player and co-captain Lucas Williamson. Woven together with archival footage and modern-day interviews, this captivating story continues to provide inspiration in the fight for equality.
