WVU Tax Services has issued 2021 W-2 forms to all West Virginia University faculty and staff. Forms are available online for current WVU employees and can be found under the MyHR tab at portal.wvu.edu.

Paper copies of all W-2 forms will be mailed to the employee’s home address on or before Monday, Jan. 31. Employees who recently had a change of address should allow time for the Postal Service to deliver their form before requesting a duplicate copy.

Employees can request duplicate copies of their W-2 forms by sending an email to tax@mail.wvu.edu with their name, current mailing address and birthdate. To protect personal information, employees should not send their Social Security numbers through email.

WVU Tax Services will not begin accepting requests for duplicate copies until Monday, Feb.14 to allow time for delivery of the original form.

Due to information security concerns, employees should not access their pay stubs nor their W-2 forms from a public computer. Further, employees should use WVU’s virtual private network when accessing their paystubs or W-2 forms from home. The University’s VPN client can be downloaded at remote.wvu.edu.

W-2 form questions can be directed to WVU Tax Services at tax@mail.wvu.edu. Employees should provide their name, contact number, month and year of birth and either their WVU ID or employee number for verification purposes.

Note that WVU Tax Services cannot provide personal tax advice. Faculty and staff should consult their professional tax preparer for individual tax advice.
