Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Meshea L. Poore continues her weekly series of short videos, exploring topics centered on helping members of the WVU community live, learn and work together with care and respect for each other.
This week’s video, released Dec. 7, addresses belonging.
“We can experience a sense of belonging around people we have something in common with,” said Poore. “It’s also possible to feel a sense of belonging – even when we’re surrounded by people very different from us. Belonging is based upon each of us respecting those around us and allowing everyone space to be themselves.”
