Sustainability Week 2021 to offer a variety of in-person, virtual events

In recognition of Sustainability Week 2021, the Office of Sustainability will offer a slate of in-person and virtual learning opportunities Oct. 25-29.

Each day will feature a 30-minute sustainability tour on the Downtown campus, leaving from the Refresh box across from the Mountainlair. Tour guides will point out physical sustainability features on campus and discuss WVU’s sustainable operations. View times and sign up for a tour at refresh.wvu.edu.

Tuesday (Oct. 26) will feature two opportunities to get involved:

  • A campus litter cleanup from 1-3 p.m. (participants will meet on the Mountainlair Plaza).

Throughout the week, the campus community can view signage on both the Downtown and Evansdale campuses highlighting sustainability sites. And students, faculty and staff can help plant trees on campus later in the week.

Visit the Office of Sustainability website for sign locations and details on additional virtual and in-person activities. To learn more about WVU Sustainability, follow @letsconservewvu on Instagram and Twitter and @wvusustainability on Facebook
