Option to self-identify race and ethnicity is now quick and easy in Applaud

University employees can now voluntarily indicate race and ethnicity in Applaud using a new option under the Personal Information tab. Self-identification is optional and will not affect your opportunity for employment or the terms of conditions of your employment. Your information also will be kept confidential and will be used only in aggregate to help measure WVU’s effort to recruit, advance and retain a diverse workforce.

To log into Applaud, you must connect to the Virtual Private Network, go to portal.wvu.edu and select the My HR tab in the Restricted Apps box. The first link is to the Personal Information page. Click inside the Race/Ethnicity box at the bottom right corner, then Edit. Make your selections and click Save.

A Quicklinks button that previously made you leave the Applaud system to make this change has been removed. If you have problems accessing Applaud, contact WVU Shared Services at 304-293-6006 or SharedServices@mail.wvu.edu.
