As the University begins transitioning back to normal business activities, we would like to remind all WVU Personnel of their obligations specific to international travel and the hosting of international visitors.
International Travel Registration
WVU faculty and staff traveling on University business must register their travel through the Office of Global Affairs’ Travel Registry. Personal travel must also be registered, but only if WVU equipment will be taken out of the country and/or University business will be conducted while abroad.
Travelers are strongly encouraged to complete the registration as early as possible, especially if travel involves an embargoed or sanctioned country.
Registration automatically enrolls you in WVU’s international emergency response program and international insurance.
For more information, visit the Office of Global Affairs and Export Control Office International Travel Information webpages.
Hosting International Visitors
To help ensure compliance with US visa requirements and export control regulations, the Office of Global Affairs has developed a simple questionnaire, similar to the questionnaire found in the International Travel Registry. Faculty and staff planning to host foreign visitors must register the visit in the OGA International Visitor Registry. Registrations should be completed at least 2 weeks prior to arrival, whenever possible.
