Intended for early career faculty and graduate students, the Library’s Scholarly Communication workshops are designed to help you maximize your scholarly presence, find the right journal to publish in, and measure your scholarly impact. To register for these workshops, follow the links attached to each event.  

  • Tips and Tricks for Successful Open Access Publishing
    This online workshop provides an overview of open access, identification of predatory journals, WVUL and free resources that can help faculty and students choose a journal in which to publish, and the WVUL Open Access Author Fund and institutional OA memberships. This workshop will be offered twice.

  • Research Tools and Software for Academic Writing
    This workshop will highlight popular online tools that assist writers with various stages of paper or essay writing.  Find out ways to improve your writing skills with online tools designed to help you write more effectively.   Writing and research tools discussed will cover topics including grammar, editing, plagiarism, citation management, and project management software.
