WVU faculty, staff and students are invited to attend the first in a series of "Get to Know" events sponsored by the Division of Forestry and Natural Resources Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and Women Initiative in Natural Resources.
Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, the in-person event, will begin at noon, Monday, Sept. 13, in 332 Percival Hall. Faculty and students originally from countries in Central and South America will discuss their experiences, countries and diverse cultures. Featured presenters include:
Eugenia M. Pena-Yewtukhiw, associate professor of soil science
Melissa Maria Hurtado Alvarez, graduate student in recreation, parks and tourism resources
Gloria Oporto, associate professor of wood science and technology
Caroline C. Arantes, assistant professor of wildlife and fisheries resources
