As part of our continuing efforts to seek diverse suppliers and expand the number of companies participating in the public procurement process, the WVU Procurement, Contracting and Payment Services team will host the 2021 Small, Diverse and Local Business Vendor Fair.

This event will take place Sept. 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Erickson Alumni Center (Salons A, B and C)*.

The vendor fair is an excellent opportunity for small West Virginia-based businesses to:

  • Learn about valuable programs and resources.

  • Gain an understanding of how to register with the WVU bid website.

  • Further our state’s commitment to grow the economic development of small, diverse and local businesses.

While the vendor fair primarily is geared toward local and regional small businesses, faculty and staff also are invited to take part in the event.

The agenda includes:

  • 9 a.m., Opening Remarks.

  • 9:15-10:15 a.m., First Educational Session: How to Do Business with WVU.

  • 10:20-10:50 a.m., Second Educational Session: Business Insurance 101.

  • 11-11:30 a.m., Third Educational Session: How to Do Business with American.

  • 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m., Lunch.

  • 12:45-1 p.m., Mid-Day Remarks.

  • 1 to 4 p.m., Expo and Meet the Buyer.
