WVU Collegiate Recovery Program to offer virtual and in-person Recovery Ally trainings

Recovery Ally training

The WVU Collegiate Recovery Program will offer several Recovery Ally training sessions throughout the fall semester to help the WVU community learn tools to support individuals in recovery from substance use disorders and eating disorders.

The hour-long training provides attendees with education to better understand the process of recovery, help confront stigma related to addiction and utilize appropriate language when discussing substance use disorders, eating disorders and other mental health and behavioral concerns. Participants will also learn about available resources in Morgantown and best practices to help those in need access services.

All Recovery Ally training sessions are open to WVU faculty, staff and students. Trainings will be held at 10 a.m. and participants must RSVP.
