As part of ongoing campus enhancement efforts, WVU is repaving the WVU Coliseum parking lots and installing new lights in parking areas surrounding the facility. Work began on July 26 and will continue through early October.
To accommodate these enhancements, certain parking areas at the Coliseum will be taken out of service in a phased approach (see related image). Large-scale milling and paving operations will occur between August 9-13. The contractor will be working in the following sequence: Lot 1B, Lot 1A and Lot 3 and there will be some overlapping closures of these areas. Lot 2 and main roadways will remain open during the entire week. The south entrance to the Coliseum near the Arboretum will be closed to traffic for the week.
Note: The schedule is subject to change due to progress and unforeseen conditions, such as weather.
Patrons may want to consider other short-term parking options on the Evansdale campus next week to avoid congestion. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to enhance our campus and create a welcoming environment for our University community.
