WVU to host in-person commencement ceremonies this weekend

WVU graduation ceremony

Nearly 4,500 students are expected to graduate in four in-person ceremonies this weekend (May 15-16) with COVID-19 protocols in effect at Milan Puskar Stadium.

The University community is invited to watch the livestream of each ceremony beginning at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. each day. Only those who reserved tickets in advance are able to attend in person.

President Gordon Gee, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Maryanne Reed, Vice President and Executive Dean for Health Sciences Dr. Clay Marsh and Dr. Patrice Harris, a three-time WVU alumna, current Board of Governors member and first African American woman to be chair of the American Medical Association’s Board of Trustees will address the graduates.

The University will also present honorary doctorates to Mike John, Robert “Bob” Orders, Ann Magnuson and Ken Sullivan. Read more about the honorees and ceremonies
