The SpeakWrite Writing Appalachia Contest invites students to submit brief scholarly essays, short creative works, editorials, how-to manuals, engaging research reports, science blogs or any other written text that focuses on Appalachia, especially writings that address COVID-19 in Appalachia.
Students must submit their writing by 11:59 p.m. May 3.

Winners will be announced in May and featured on the SpeakWrite website. One or more $100 prizes awarded.
