Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Meshea L. Poore continues her weekly series of short videos, exploring topics centered on helping members of the WVU community live, learn and work together with care and respect for each other.
This week’s video, released April 6, addresses empathy and respect: Part II.
“For more than a year now, we’ve been interacting mostly through screens and emails,” Poore said. “It’s helpful to remember to pause before responding to an email. Give yourself some time to think about your initial interpretation of the message you just received. The same goes for reviewing your own emails and other communications before hitting that send button.”
