Celebrate Women’s History Month and meet Civil Rights icon and Freedom Rider, Joan Trumpauer-Mulholland, during a virtual event, sponsored by the ADVANCE Center, on Tuesday, March 30. Faculty, staff, students and community members are invited to attend.
A trailblazer in her own right, Trumpauer-Mulholland has worked alongside some of the biggest names in the Civil Rights Movement, including Martin Luther King, Jr, Medgar Evers, Fannie Lou Hamer, John Lewis, Diane Nash and Julian Bond.
Hear her story, feel her passion and take in her life’s work during a conversation with Trumpauer-Mulholland and assistant director of the WVU ADVANCE Center, Amena Anderson. During their conversation, Trumpauer-Mulholland will reflect on certain segments from the documentary “An Ordinary Hero: The True Story of Joan Trumpauer-Mulholland” (now available on Amazon Prime).
Register for the virtual event.
