All West Virginia University students, faculty and staff who are above the age of 18 are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, as announced by West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice Tuesday (March 22).
Those students and employees who reside outside of West Virginia also are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at this time. This eligibility pertains to students and employees at the Beckley and Keyser campuses, as well.
“I want to thank Gov. Justice for providing the opportunity for all of our students and employees here at West Virginia University to be vaccinated,” President Gordon Gee said. “We encourage everyone on our campus to take advantage, trust the science and sign up for the vaccines.”
If you have yet to be vaccinated or have yet to schedule an appointment to be vaccinated but wish to do so, you should use the following link to express interest in receiving a vaccine: go.wvu.edu/covid-vaccine-survey
Students and employees who meet the following criteria (WV residents age 50 and older, all WV education workers from 40 to 50 years old, all essential workers and all West Virginians age 16 and older with pre-existing medical conditions as approved by the State) may also choose to sign up for a vaccination at https://member.everbridge.net/747122446041089/login.
Students and employees who completed a prior WVU questionnaire expressing interest in receiving a vaccine do not need to complete the new survey.
However, those who previously completed a WVU questionnaire and have decided not to receive a vaccine or have been vaccinated elsewhere are asked to complete this form so their allocated dose can be provided to someone else.
Students, faculty and staff who complete the questionnaire will be notified to schedule an appointment at the Greater Monongalia County COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic, which is located at the former Sears site at the Morgantown Mall (view directions).
Students and employees should monitor their WVU email and phones for additional instructions. Note that if you receive a phone call from the Greater Monongalia County COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic, it may come from an unrecognized number.
