Registration is open for the March 17 Children on Campus quarterly meeting. Meetings are held from 10:30 to noon via Zoom. This month’s meeting will feature a presentation by Jill Hess, WVU ADA coordinator.

This training will focus on services and ADA compliance for children with disabilities on campus including the types of accommodation that may be common in the programs WVU delivers. Hess will review some of the unique changes that COVID-19 has presented to WVU programs as it relates to accommodations. She will also cover the interactive process of accommodation, different accommodation ideas and how to implement the ADA into program delivery.

The Americans with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 were established to provide a clear comprehensive national mandate for the elimination of discrimination against individuals with disabilities. The ADA requires the provision of reasonable accommodations for eligible faculty, staff, students, and visitors across all WVU programs, activities and services.

Register for the quarterly meeting.
