Faculty and staff are invited to participate in the NIDA Clinical Trials Network Appalachian Node Virtual Conference Thursday, Feb. 25, from noon to 5 p.m. Attendance is complimentary.
During the virtual teleconference, Dr. Todd Korthuis, professor of medicine and chief of addiction medicine at Oregon Health and Science University, will present "Substance Use Disorders in Rural Oregon" from 12:30-1:45 p.m. and Dr. Steve Shoptaw, professor and vice chair for research in Family Medicine at the University of California San Francisco, will present "Methamphetamine" from 2:45-4 p.m.
Also included is a documentary "Substance Use Disorder and Research Collaboration: A Documentary" from 1:45-2:30 p.m. and a panel discussion "The Future of Intervention in Substance Use Disorder-Envisioning Innovation from 4-4:15 pm.
