Peer Support of Teaching Program

Peer Support of Teaching

The Teaching and Learning Commons has announced the Peer Support of Teaching program designed to help instructors become more reflective as teachers and enhance their teaching and students' learning based on individual goals. Any instructor (full-time or part-time), postdoc, or graduate teaching assistant at WVU can request Peer Support of Teaching regardless of the teaching delivery modality (face-to-face, blended, online).

This program pairs colleagues to work together, share ideas, learn from one another, build skills and potentially address challenges related to teaching and learning. Peer support can occur in a variety of ways and is customized to the applicant’s needs. It is not an evaluation or remediation program.

“My peer support associate went above and beyond what I expected. Her feedback gave me greater confidence in the effectiveness of my current pedagogy as well as helpful suggestions for improvement,” said Brenden McNeil, an associate professor of geography who has used the Peer Support Program.
