OLLI presents annual Irving Goodman Aging Lecture ‘Elders as Activists’

The annual Irving Goodman Lecture “Elders as Activists” will be held Monday, Dec. 7 and Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 1 p.m. The two-day event will explore and celebrate the importance of older adults making their voices heard.

The event will open on Monday with a keynote address by Libby Traubman titled "Re-Fired, Not Retired: Elder Activism." Traubman is a founding member of the Elders Action Network where she currently serves on the board and volunteers her time nationwide.

On Tuesday, former residents of Morgantown, Sharon Goodman and Ann Payne, will share their experiences as activists in a panel discussion moderated by Cindy O’Brien.

The event is free and open to the public.
