West Virginia University is encouraging faculty and staff to take part in additional free voluntary COVID-19 testing options next week prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Time slots to complete testing will be available Monday, Nov. 23, and Tuesday, Nov. 24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the WVU Student Recreation Center.

Register for Testing

1.     As part of the registration process, you will be required to consent to a COVID-19 testing program terms of services, HIPAA waiver and complete an online pre-test questionnaire.

2.     You will complete the above items and register for your preferred testing date/time via StarRez (WVU’s housing portal): myhousing.wvu.edu

Click the Login button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. WVU login credentials and a WVUID number are required to register for testing. You can claim your account, reset your password or find your WVUID number at login.wvu.edu. View detailed instructions on the registration process.

3.     After you have registered, you should receive email confirmation of your testing date/time. You also may want to take a screenshot of the confirmation webpage for your records.

Be sure to wear a mask/face covering and arrive on time to your appointment. Upon your arrival, you will check in and verify your information. You will be asked to provide your Mountaineer Card and/or your WVU ID number, so be sure to have them readily available.

You should receive your test results within three to five days. As always, you should continue to follow the University’s safety protocols while awaiting your results.

As a reminder, employees must notify WVU Medical Management if they test positive or are quarantining due to suspected or known exposure to COVID-19. Guidelines for what to do if you test positive or if you were exposed to someone who tested positive are available on the Return to Campus website.

Thank you for doing your part to promote a safe and healthy campus community by participating in WVU’s COVID-19 testing program and following the University’s other safety protocols.
