As we approach the final weeks of the fall semester, WVU is encouraging students to take part in free voluntary COVID-19 testing prior to leaving campus for the Thanksgiving holiday.
WVU has a limited number of time slots available for those who wish to test, so students should pre-register for testing between today and Thursday, Nov. 12, at 5 p.m.:

On Friday (Nov. 13) afternoon, students who have pre-registered will receive an email from CovidTesting@mail.wvu.edu with instructions to sign up for their preferred testing date/time via StarRez (WVU’s housing portal).
Time slots to complete testing will be available Monday, Nov. 16, through Friday, Nov. 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the WVU Student Recreation Center.
Students should receive their test results within three to five days. As always, students should continue to follow the University’s safety protocols while awaiting their results.
As a reminder, students must notify the WVU CARE Team if they test positive or are quarantining due to suspected or known exposure to COVID-19. Guidelines for what to do if you test positive or if you were exposed to someone who tested positive are available on the Return to Campus website.
Students — both residential and those living off-campus — who test positive for COVID-19 may choose to stay in Morgantown to complete the isolation process. Students also may choose to return home to isolate. Residential students who remain on campus will be provided accommodations and meals at no charge.
Similarly, residential students who are identified as a close contact to someone who tests positive for COVID-19 may choose to stay in Morgantown or return home to quarantine. Residential students who choose to stay in Morgantown also will be provided accommodations and meals at no charge.
Students who test positive for COVID-19 and those identified as a close contact to someone who tests positive should contact WVU Shared Services at 304-293-6006 and indicate their plans to either remain on campus or return home to isolate or quarantine.
Thank you for doing your part to promote a safe and healthy campus community by participating in WVU’s COVID-19 testing program and following the University’s other safety protocols.
