The Office of Student Success is launching a new online platform in partnership with Innovative Educators' StudentLingo to help students achieve their academic goals through more than 50 on-demand workshops.
Workshop topics include career exploration, navigating the college experience, research and writing strategies, learning and success strategies, wellness and relationship management and tips to maximize online learning successfully.
Faculty members and instructors are encouraged to use the workshops in their classrooms or as supplemental tools. With more classes than ever being taught online, these workshops and training sessions help students hone their online study skills and manage the anxieties associated with virtual learning. The workshops will also address overall college success topics in areas where many college students struggle. By providing 24/7 support with online workshops, this product can help students stay on track academically.
“We are excited to add the on-demand workshop so that students can access them whenever and wherever they want. Additionally, it complements the tutoring and success coaching provided in Student Success,” said Regan Bruni, director of Student Success.
“We know that success strategies such as those covered in StudentLingo workshops are the key to performing at the college level. StudentLingo offers a great overview of those skills and provides a relevant starting place for students,” explained Barbara Mullinix, program director for the Academic Resource Centers.
