New faculty and staff who will be working on WVU’s main Morgantown campus for the first time this fall and who need a Mountaineer ID Card should visit idphoto.wvu.edu to submit a photo that meets WVU’s requirement. Once you have submitted your preferred photo(s), you also need to upload a copy of a legal photo ID such as a driver’s license or passport to confirm your identity.

You will receive a response via email within three business days, once your submission has been reviewed by ITS Service Center staff. If your photo is rejected, you will need to submit a new one that meets the guidelines.

ID cards can be printed and picked up at either of the ITS Service Centers, which are located in the Mountainlair next to the Post Office and in G-118 of Bennett Tower. Photos must be submitted online at least one business day in advance; the Service Centers cannot accommodate walk-up requests. New employees may pick up their IDs on the next business day after receiving the photo approval email.

Starting Monday, Aug. 10, both Service Center locations are open for card pickups from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Information Technology Services will offer extra weekend hours, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 8-9 and Aug. 15-16. The Service Centers will be closed all other weekends.
