Black Students Matter: A Space for Black and Brown Voices to be held

Black Students Matter

On Wednesday (July 1) from 6:30-8 p.m., the Carruth Center, Division for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Center for Black Culture and Research, and Adventure WV will host "Black Students Matter: A Space for Black and Brown Voices." The goal of this event is to provide a supportive and open space for WVU's Black and Brown students to discuss their responses to systemic racism and oppression.

This space will also serve as an opportunity to discuss the emotional and physical impact of witnessing and experiencing racism on well-being and mental health.

Faculty and staff should make students aware of the event and encourage their participation.

Students can register for the event and can contact Stephanie Harrison at stephanie.harrison@mail.wvu.edu with questions.

This event is part of a two-part series.  More information on part two to come.
