Virtual Campus Conversation: First-Gen Student Experience will be held on April 13 from 6-7:30 p.m. on “Zoom.” The virtual event is hosted by students in the Honors Special Topics Course “Ambassadors For Change.”
The goal of the Ambassadors for Change class is to further the education of Rural First-Gen students, and to gain a better understanding of the challenges they face in college. The class received a WVU Provost sponsored Transform This! Grant, and will host this Virtual Conversation.
The schedule is an hour of small presentations and a Q/A panel. Students from the class will give a small introduction and presentation, and Provost Reed will be in attendance. The class expects to expand the knowledge of first-gen students and give them a voice that can be heard by everyone.
Students are especially invited to attend and First Gen students can join the raffle for one of 10 $50 Amazon Gift Certificates.
