In light of the evolving situation surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and the suspension of in-person classes and events on the WVU campus, Career Services has canceled the remainder of its spring semester events.
The Professional Education Career Fair that was scheduled for April 16, at the Erickson Alumni Center and Military Visit Day that was scheduled for April 22, across from the Mountainlair, have been canceled. This decision was made with the health and safety of students, alumni, and employer partners as top priority.
Career Services continues to support its students and employers during this time. Employers have already converted on-campus interviews to online formats and have been encouraged to virtually connect with candidates from WVU through Handshake.
All students are being directed to update their profiles on Handshake and to utilize it as the primary resource for their job search. Full-time, part-time and internship positions are being added to the system daily.
Career Services is accepting online appointments during normal office hours (Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.) to assist students with career-related needs. For questions or to schedule a virtual appointment, email Career Services at careerservices@mail.wvu.edu.
