ITS recommends logging into Microsoft Outlook with web link, not Portal, after Sunday

Starting Sunday (Feb.16) the login screens for Office 365 will look different, and people who access Outlook email and calendar in the Portal will have to log in twice. To avoid the second login screen, use the Outlook Web Application instead at outlook.com/mail.wvu.edu.

These ITS updates are required to accommodate changes that Microsoft is making in the way usernames and passwords are authenticated. If you use the Office 365 client, meaning software installed on your device, you won’t see the login screen change until mid-April.

This change does not affect users with an hsc.wvu.edu email address because the Health Sciences Center has its own Office 365 system and has already made these adjustments
