The Office of the Provost and the Office of Global Affairs invite all faculty to “Faculty and Staff Fulbright Information Session” Oct. 28 in the Rhododendron Room of the Mountainlair from 1-2: 30 p.m.
The session will include a presentation by Karoly Jokay, executive director of the Hungarian-American Fulbright Commission. Jokay will speak on the various types of Fulbright grants available to WVU faculty and staff and provide tips and advice for preparing and submitting an application.
Several variations of Fulbright grants are available each year, ranging from four weeks to four months in duration. Applicants can apply for country-specific, regional or global grants for the purpose of teaching, conducting research or completing a specific project. Staff and administrators can also apply for in-depth cultural experiences that take place in different countries during a specific two-week period each year.
The Office of Global Affairs also will discuss ways they provide support to WVU faculty and staff pursuing these grants, particularly in identifying and coordinating with international partner institutions willing to host grant recipients.
All faculty are invited to register. Space is limited. Register online by Friday (Oct. 25).
All upcoming faculty and leadership development sessions can be found on the faculty website.
