The Positive Health Clinic (an ambulatory Ryan White-Funded HIV Clinic in the Department of Medicine, Section of Infectious Diseases) is one of the programs being highlighted in “The 2019 Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Highlights biennial report which highlights the innovative models of care that Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program recipients implement in communities across the country. These reports provide an update of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program efforts to improve health outcomes for people with HIV and document the successes and challenges of recipients.”
The WVU Positive Health Clinic operates out of the POC and is a federally funded HRSA grant (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, HIV/AIDS Bureau). We are in our 15th year of operation here at WVU Medicine! In addition to providing comprehensive HIV primary care, the program collaborates with the WV DHHR Bureau for Public Health Rapid HIV Testing Program.
