On the occasion of the one-year anniversary of Terence Ahern's death, former colleagues and students will gather to celebrate his contributions to the field of instructional design and technology in a conference open to the entire Mountaineer family. Sessions Friday (Sept. 27) from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. in Allen Hall will include scholarly presentations and a panel discussion related to instructional design and technology, followed by lunch.
9-11 a.m.: Scholarly Presentations
Former students and colleagues will share scholarly work that was inspired by Ahern’s contributions to the field. After each talk, the presenter will reflect on how he shaped and guided their work.
11 a.m.-noon: Panel Discussion
A facilitated panel will discuss current topics relevant to Ahern’s work.
Noon-2 p.m.: Lunch & Remembrance
An informal time for participants to eat, tell stories, and remember Terence. A microphone will be available for anyone who would like to share remembrances with the entire group.
