Information sessions on faculty evaluation, promotion and tenure to be held this month

Faculty

All faculty are invited to attend a Faculty Evaluation, Promotion and Tenure Information Session led by Associate Provost for Faculty Development and Culture Melissa Latimer. Sessions are being offered by the Office of the Provost in conjunction with WVU Teaching and Learning Commons.

There are two upcoming sessions: 

  • Sept. 26, 3:30-5 p.m., Engineering Sciences Building, ESB G84. Register online by Sept. 23.

  • Sept. 30, 9-10:30 a.m., Rhododendron Room, Mountainlair. Register online by Sept. 27. 

These information sessions focus on annual reviews and the promotion and/or tenure process. The discussion will cover basic information such as the timeline and calendar for the process, understanding the role of Digital Measures in this process, as well as best practices for preparing for the Promotion and/or Tenure Process for Tenure Track faculty members, Teaching, Service, Research, Librarian, Clinical and Extension Faculty. Discussions of modified duties and extensions to the tenure clock will also be held.
