The West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission is holding its annual Open Learning WV Spring Convening beginning at noon April 8 at Stonewall Resort in Roanoke.
The event will conclude at noon April 10, making it easier to plan travel while still allowing for two full days of learning and connection.
This year’s theme is artificial intelligence and how it intersects with open learning, what it means for teaching and learning and how we can engage with it thoughtfully and responsibly.
Whether you are just beginning your Open Educational Resources journey or looking to deepen an already advanced open practice, state and national experts will lead sessions and engage participants across experience levels.
Workshops, hands-on sessions and opportunities to share best practices across the full spectrum of “everything open,” including open educational resources, open pedagogy and open publishing will be offered.
The WVHEPC is covering the cost of registration, meals and lodging for participants.
Your commitment to attend, or provide sufficient advance notice of your inability to attend, allows us to steward public resources responsibly and ensure access for as many colleagues as possible.
