To accommodate enhancements, repairs and testing to West Virginia University’s steam infrastructure, there will be a planned campuswide steam outage Saturday (Sept. 7) from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
As a result, heating, domestic hot water and lab steam will be affected at the following campus buildings:

Heating and domestic hot water also will be affected in the following residence halls:

Students who live in these residence halls are encouraged to shower the evening before the outage and/or after it concludes on Saturday evening.
Dining Services locations in campus buildings and residence halls will operate normally during the outage. However, menus may be adjusted in some venues.
Further, air conditioning is not expected to be impacted during the outage. However, the Facilities and Services team continually will monitor temperatures in campus buildings and residence halls and make any necessary adjustments.
