With the goal of promoting more cross campus collaboration, the Research Office is organizing an Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Visualization and Biology/Medicine Networking event for Sept. 3 from 2:30 -4:30 p.m. in the Advanced Engineering Research Building, room 120. Attendees will circulate to assigned tables for brief exchanges with selected counterparts and the event will conclude with free time and some refreshments.

The typical attendee should be either a researcher (faculty member, senior scientist) working biology/medicine with the need for new tools, or a researcher with expertise in AI/ML and visualization who is looking for new problems. They should be senior group members only (faculty or senior postdocs).

If you are interested in making a connection, complete a short Qualtrics survey and register for the event. Responses to the brief survey should be jargon free and written for a smart colleague who is not an expert familiar with your field.

Responses will be provided upon request in the event a person cannot attend.

Registration should be completed by Aug. 20 in order for us to make “matches” for the event. Questions can be directed to Lisa Hunt at 304.293.4817 or lisa.hunt@mail.wvu.edu.
