Community Music Program Chamber Music Camp announced

Three young people playing musical instruments

Music students of all ages are invited to attend the third annual Community Music Program Summer Chamber Music Camp at the Creative Arts Center on the Evansdale Campus Aug. 5-9. This camp is sure to be an exciting week of music and fun and is open to students who are interested in studying Chamber Music and have some skill on an orchestral instrument or piano.

"Students will be assigned to small groups based on skill level and interest, and will participate in daily coached rehearsals. The last day of camp will feature a final concert by all participating students. The concert will be free and open to the public, " said camp director Sara Beattie, a teacher with the CMP program and professional cellist, orchestral and chamber music performer.

The camp week will offer two sessions daily, for the week: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for groups under the age of 16, and 3-7 p.m. for ages 16 through senior citizens (includes break, but meal cost not included). The cost of the camp is $173.51 + $10 term processing fee, and includes performance on Friday's Aug. 9 Concert at noon.
