Employees who have three or more years of state qualifying service, receive annual increment pay each year in July. The annual increment amount is $60.00 for each full year of qualifying service.
The annual increment pay will be issued to WVU employees Friday (July 26) and will be electronically deposited into their primary banking account.
The following deductions will occur:
Retirement – 6%
FICA (Social Security) – 6.20%
MED (Medicare) - 1.45%
Federal Taxes – 22% (an increase from 15% for 2018)
State Taxes -West Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky, Virginia & Ohio – 3.0%
State Tax – Pennsylvania – 3.07%
