REMINDER: Login and password-update processes will change July 1

The way you change your WVU Login password will change July 1 with a major upgrade of the software behind login.wvu.edu. No immediate changes are required, and your username and email address are not affected; however, the first time your password expires after July 1, you must choose CLAIM ACCOUNT and follow the instructions before creating a new password. The account claiming process should take only a few minutes, and you will only have to do this once.

WVU is replacing the software behind login.wvu.edu because the vendor that created it is no longer in business. The new system will require all faculty, staff and students to accept the annual security responsibility statement, pass a five-question cybersecurity quiz and submit non-WVU contact information so you can unlock your account or reset your password without calling the ITS Service Desk. Once you have claimed your account in the new system and updated your password, the password will be good for one year.
