Last chance to donate before Saturday’s Blue & Gold Mine Sale

WVU and the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties remind faculty, staff and students to drop off donations for the Blue & Gold Mine Sale by Wednesday (May 8).

Collection boxes have been placed in each residence hall in addition to three outdoor donation stations around Morgantown at Chateau Royale, the top of Falling Run Road and Grant Avenue. Items like furniture, home décor, kitchenware, clothing and electronics are welcome, however mattresses, box springs, CRT televisions and computer monitors will not be accepted.

The 15th annual Blue & Gold Mine Sale will be held at the East Concourse of Milan Puskar Stadium Saturday (May 11) from 7 a.m. to noon. All proceeds from this large rummage sale will benefit United Way. The early bird admission is $5 (7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.) and free admission will begin at 8:30 a.m. Shoppers will have the option of purchasing a custom reusable bag to fit as many items as the bag will hold for one flat rate of $20.
