Celebrate National Trails Day June 1 by joining the fun of the Deckers Creek Trail Half-Marathon. Not a runner? Volunteers are needed to staff the water stops, help register runners, staff road crossings, work the refreshments tables and with event take down.
The race features a mostly downhill course, all on a scenic rail-trail. There will be a bus shuttle, enthusiastic volunteers, finishers’ medals, course and finish line photos, chip timing, great finish line food and unique awards. All proceeds benefit Mon River Trails and support maintenance of the rail-trail system.
The race course goes from Masontown to Morgantown ending at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park and volunteers are needed all along the course. Sign up on iServe.wvu.edu.
