The last of the Department of Biology spring ephemeral wildflower walks will happen Sunday (April 28) at 2 p.m. These free, guided tours are a spring tradition at the Core Arboretum.
Participants will learn the names of the flowers and some interesting facts about them. Last year, in the course of three wildflower walks, more than 45 species of plants were seen in bloom.
All tours will meet in the Arboretum parking lot. Additional free parking is available at the nearby Coliseum. No reservations are needed. Dress appropriately for the weather and for hiking.
