After 31 years of service to WVU, Pam Hagedorn will retire May 1. The University community is invited to join in celebrating her achievements and wishing her well Thursday (April 11) from 4-7 p.m. at the Evansdale Black Bear restaurant.

Hagedorn began her career at WVU in 1988 as a program assistant for the Energy Extension Office in the Agricultural Science Department. In 1996, she transferred to Campus Recreation to serve as an administrative assistant sr. and has served as the interim assistant director since 2015.

As member of the Steering, Planning and Development Committee for the Student Recreation Center, she played an integral part in project planning and pre-opening of the Student Recreation Center and considers it an incredible opportunity to have been a part of its development from pen to paper.

Following her retirement, she will continue to serve as an instructor for Silver Sneakers and spend more time with her five grandchildren.
