Center for Service and Learning launches student advisory board

As part of a continuing effort to assure that programming in the Center for Service and Learning meets student needs while continuing to commit to its mission of building a campus of Service, the Center for Service and Learning has launched its first Student Service Advisory Board.

Composed of a diverse range of students across disciplines, the SSAB will serve as a liaison to the student body, provide feedback on issues concerning service and service-learning, and help assure Center for Service and Learning  programs remain closely attuned to the needs of current and future West Virginia University students.

In addition, SSAB members will lead a student-led day of service and assist with various Center for Service and Learning initiatives including Week of Engagement, Global Youth Service Day and more.

Faculty or staff who would like to nominate a student to serve on the SSAB  should contact Eric Murphy, Assistant Director of the Center for Service and Learning at Eric.Murphy@mail.wvu.edu.
