WVU Shared Research Facilities Electron Microscopy Facilities will host its next seminar featuring 3D X-ray microscopy at 10 a.m. Feb. 8 in ESB 115A/B on the Evansdale Campus. 3D XRM offers imaging solutions for characterizing the properties and behaviors of materials non-destructively, including hard materials. Revealing details of microstructure is critical for developing and confirming models or visualizing structural details. Achieve high contrast and sub-micron resolution imaging even for relatively large samples, pushing spatial resolution down to 500 nm with minimum achievable voxels of <50 nm.
Experts from 3D XRM developer Zeiss will offer a lecture about the technique, the instrument, and its applications followed by Q&A and discussions about specific applications of interest to researchers here.
RSVPs are appreciated. Walk-ins are welcome. The seminar is free.
