WVU offers free web-based digital accessibility training

The University is placing increased scrutiny on digital accessibility. Web-based training is available for free via Siteimprove for those who want to increase their skills in the following areas:


  • Web Fundamentals: Accessibility, Analytics and SEO
  • Accessibility for Content Creators and Designers (includes PDF’s)
  • Accessibility for Leadership
  • Accessibility for Microsoft Office
  • Accessibility for Web Developers

To gain access to these courses, visit the Siteimprove Academy. Before entering a name and email address, be sure to add all course tracks of interest by clicking, "Add more course tracks."

Individuals wishing to take these online courses will have access to them for seven days. The Web Fundamentals course is free and does not have a time restriction. Users with pre-existing accounts to Siteimprove can access these courses at any time by logging in and clicking "Help Center and Academy" > "Academy" from the top bar.
