Students and employees: Don’t buy software when you can get it for free

Graphic for Announcements category

All WVU faculty, staff and students can get free and discounted software through Information Technology Services. For example, you can download Microsoft Office and Sophos anti-virus at no cost. You can install Microsoft Office on as many as five personally owned devices, and you can put Sophos on as many as three. Students can also download MATLAB at no cost.

The Software License Information Center also offers a wide variety of discounted applications, including the Adobe Creative Suite. Visit slic.wvu.edu for a complete list.

Looking for something not on the list? For personal use software, explore vendors listed on slic.wvu.edu for additional available titles. Work purchases must be submitted through the Technology Request process for approval.
