When inspiration strikes, having access to scientific instrumentation can make the difference in being able to pursue a world-changing idea. Lack of funding should not be a barrier. The Deans’ Instrumentation Seed Program for Innovative Research eliminates that hurdle, allowing faculty from the participating colleges limited, free access to WVU Shared Research Facilities' instrumentation. Deans’ InSPIRe is being funded through the generosity of the Deans of the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design, the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences, and the Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources. The WVU Research Office is matching the Deans’ contributions, dollar for dollar.

Details about Deans’ InSPIRe will be presented at SRF’s Winter Open House, Friday (Jan. 25) at 2 p.m. in ESB G64 on the Evansdale Campus and at 3:45 p.m. in CRL 156A on the Downtown Campus. In addition to the announcement, the Winter Open House will include tours of SRF’s facilities and the chance to speak with the SRF managers about current and pending research projects.
