Women in restaurant  

The Council for Women's Concerns is accepting nominations for the Mary Catherine Buswell Award. This accolade, established in 1978, honors a person who has shown a dedication to the advancement of women. Nominees should include University faculty, staff, students or West Virginia citizens who have provided outstanding service to women at the University.

 

Graduate programs and faculty members are encouraged to nominate their most outstanding incoming graduate applicants for WVU graduate fellowships (Ruby, Arlen G. and Louise Stone Swiger, STEM, W.E.B. Du Bois, and University Provost). The deadline for fellowship nominations is Feb. 8.

Faculty from the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences will host a workshop focused on sport and coaching science and long-term athlete development. Strength and conditioning coaches and educators will provide scientific and applied based presentations and roundtable discussions on Feb. 3, 8 a.m.to 5 p.m. in the WVU Mountainlair Gold and Blue rooms.

Alexander Rehding, Fanny Peabody Professor of Music at Harvard University, will offer a lecture titled “A Ninth for the New Millenium” at the Creative Arts Center on Jan. 22. This lecture, which will begin at 4 p.m. in Bloch Learning and Performance Hall, Room 200A, is free and open to the public.
