Take advantage of the winter weather this season. Adventure WV will take a shuttle to WISP Tuesdays and Wednesdays - one day every other week - at 3:30 p.m. Each trip allows for 10 students. The cost of the trip is $32; this includes both transportation and a lift ticket. Participants can rent ski or snowboard packages from the Outdoor Rec Center or bring their own gear.

Dillon Muhly-Alexander, a 2017 West Virginia University graduate, has been selected as a finalist for the prestigious Gates Cambridge Scholarship, an award that funds graduate study at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. Muhly-Alexander, who was also a Rhodes finalist in 2017, is WVU’s first Gates Cambridge finalist.
Jonathan Cumming has always been interested in plants and the way they grow. A professor of biology at West Virginia University, it all started when he was growing plants in his house as a child and, years later, he chose to focus his career on identifying specific plants and how they thrive in different types of soil.
For the past two decades, Kuwaiti students have been coming to the WVU Schools of Dentistry and, more recently, Medicine to learn skills necessary to care for patients in their native country. In addition to preparing highly qualified physicians and dentists to meet the health needs in Kuwait, WVU has benefitted from the cultural infusion of Kuwaiti students.
For the first time in program history, two members of the women's soccer program were selected in the National Women's Soccer League College Draft, as Michaela Abam and Amandine Pierre-Louis were drafted with the No. 4 and No. 6 overall picks by Sky Blue FC at the Philadelphia Convention Center.
All-session tickets for the 2018 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City are now on sale. The championship will be played in a double-elimination format beginning Wednesday, May 23, and culminate with the championship game on Sunday, May 27.
