Community Music Program  

Beginning Group Piano for Kids classes start Tuesday (Jan. 30) through the Community Music Program at the School of Music. This class provides the stimulation of a group environment with the individual attention of private instruction as a fun effective approach to learning piano.

 

The Student Association of Public Health (SAPH) is hosting a family friendly 5k during Public Health Week on Saturday, April 7th. There will be games, prizes, snacks, face painting, and a FREE kids fun run to kick off the event.

Raymond Anderson, a graduate student in the WVU School of Medicine, has received NIH funding to research the role that tau (a type of protein) plays in the development of Alzheimer’s disease.  

Amyloid plaques have long been believed to be an indicator of neurodegenerative disease. But according to Raymond Anderson, a graduate student in the School of Medicine, such buildup alone does not correlate with disease severity. In fact, these buildups may even protect neurons.
